About Us
Praxis Disability Group, an affiliate company to Praxis Consulting, was formed in 2010 after Praxis Consulting purchased the assets of Aon Recovery, a division of Aon Global. PDG combines a mastery of the group disability insurance market with a wealth of experience and expertise in the area of self-funded ERISA subrogation and recovery. The result is a best-in-class, ethical approach to cost-mitigation services for the group disability insurance industry.
Founded in 1997, Praxis Consulting’s focus is subrogation outsourcing, benchmarking and closed file reviews for U.S. auto insurers, self-insureds, TPAs and municipalities. Both parent and subsidiary assist our clients in concentrating on core functions by reducing the administrative burdens of subrogation activities.
Jen brings over 10 years of legal experience in insurance defense and subrogation to her work with our group disability clients. Jen negotiates with attorneys and adjusters to maximize offset and recovery opportunities. Prior to joining Praxis, Jen practiced civil litigation for an insurance defense law firm defending personal injury, premises liability, construction defect and professional malpractice cases. Jen’s prior subrogation experience includes product liability subrogation, handling individual subrogation cases and multi-state, complex product liability actions. Jen is admitted to practice law in state and federal court in Massachusetts. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and a B. S. from Boston College where she studied Geology.
Colleen brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in insurance and third party liability, having worked for a private insurance company and for both the federal and state government. Before joining Praxis, Colleen held positions as in house counsel for a state human services agency, where she drafted and negotiated contracts and represented her agency at administrative hearings, and most recently as a consultant, managing clients and providing creative solutions to save costs and maximize revenue through coordination of benefits and third party liability best practices and special projects.
